Home >> Publications >>Mental Health Update July 23, 2008 Unfortunately, we just found out that Governor Paterson vetoed the Housing Wait List Bill. Though not unexpected, we are still disappointed and will continue to advocate that there be a more planful process for development of housing for individuals with psychiatric disabilities. We will continue to have active discussions with the administration and legislature on how best to create a true needs assessments. There has been some real positive movement and greater collaborations in regard to enhanced housing capacity in recent years but much more needs to be done for individuals with psychiatric disabilities.
