Community Connections, Spring 2003Correction LIFENET, the information and referral line of the Mental Health Association in New York City, was inadvertently omitted from the list of Suicide Crisis Telephone Numbers for New York State (included as a pullout in the Winter 2002/03 issue of Community Connections). LIFENET is a 24/7 service staffed by trained mental health professionals who are able to provide complete crisis assessment and referrals for callers who are at-risk for suicide or experiencing a psychiatric emergency. LIFENET serves the five boroughs of New York City. Their number is 1-800-LIFENET (1-800-543-3638) or (212) 995-5824.
