ARCHIVES
The
Mental Health Association in New York State (MHANYS) is pleased
to announce that their entire archive collection, with materials
dating back to when the agency was founded as the State Charities
Aid Association in 1872, is available for use by researchers at
the University
at Albany's M.E. Grenander Department of Special Collections and
Archives.
The
M.E. Grenander Department of Special Collections and Archives serves
as a repository for manuscripts, archives, rare books, and special
collections of original research materials. It is located on the
3rd floor of the New Library on the University at Albany's main
campus. The MHANYS archives will be housed in the Archives of Public
Affairs and Policy section of the Department.
This
is a great opportunity for MHANYS to share our extensive collection
with the public. We hope you will have a chance to visit the library
and view the archives. They are available Monday - Friday from 9:00
am to 5:00 pm, plus Tuesday and Wednesday until 9:00 pm when Fall
and Spring classes are in session, or by appointment.
