Local Business Advisory Councils
MHANYS
welcomes continuing and/or new Local Business Advisory Councils
(LBACs) to the Consumer & Business Outreach Program. The primary
objective of the Councils is to generate employment opportunities
and job retention of individuals living with mental illness through
leads offered by BAC members. LBACs conduct outreach about mental
health awareness in the workplace and the benefits this untapped
segment of the workplace can offer local business communities. Additional
efforts include educating the treatment community of the importance
of employment to an individual’s recovery and overall well-being.

jobs.
